Carlingford

Carlingford

DAY 1:

We went to Carlingford for two days. Ms Leonard, Ms Hughes, and Ms O'Callaghan came with us. We all had to be ready very early on Monday morning. We had to be at Esso for 7am. Me and Cliodhna were there on time, dragging our suitcases full of clothes (but mainly food) with us. It wasn't long until we were on on the bus. The bus journey was fun. I was very tired at the start but after a while I got over it and had lots of fun and ate lots of food :)))

We got there after around two hours. We were then put into rooms. I was in one of the big rooms for 12 people but only 11 people stayed in it. Cliodhna, Clodagh, Shauna and Wildcat Crickerz (Saz C) were in my room.

After this, we were all introduced to all the instructors. My favourite instructer was Teddy. For the rest of the morning, we did water sports. We had to wear wet suits and then we got in a canoe and had to row over to Dave. Here, he poured a bucket of water over us!! LMAO!!!!!!

After we had lunch and then we went and did different bonding games/challenges. They were fun, but it was a pity that we didn't get to do the skyline, as it looked very good.

At 5, we were back in the centre and had dinner. At 7, we did a nightline challenge - This was where we were blindfolded and were made walk around the forest, following the person infron of us. It was very fun and enjoyable.

We stayed in our rooms when we went back to the centre after the nightline challenge. We all ate even more food and talked and had a good time.

DAY 2:

They woke up very early. I wasn't happy as I hate getting up early lol. We had to pack our bags and then clean our room. Then we headed down for breakfast. Then we went kayaking and played games.
After kayaking, we returned to the centre yet again for lunch. We then went to the forest again and did laser tag. This was sooooo fun and I really enjoyed it. I would love to do it again.

After the laser tag, it was time to go home. I sat beside Cliodhna on the way home. All we did was eat and sleep (a lot).

I really enjoyed Carlingford. I feel like I've bonded with so much girls in my year who I never would've if we were in school. It's helped me to make lots of new friends. I hope that in the future we can all go again.
